An editor or some proof reading would have picked up most of the grammatical errors and earnt a ten rating. Not the sort of story i like but very well told with good attention to 1950's detail. (9/10)

Remarkable and fascinating introduction to what surely must become, or already HAS become, a spellbinding tale of sadism, psychologic games and all guns blazing erotica. Only letdown are the umpteen grammatical errors that litter the text. "The Mindbreakers" is one of those stories that stand out, if not for the subject, then for its matter-of-fact style, which -while being cold and to the point, still manages to come across as entertaining and steaming like James Watt's first engine. "The Mindbreakers" also has the distinction of being at times as subtle as a charging rhino while at the same time coming across as poetic. A lot has to do with the adroitness of the author, of course. The story has just the right balance of everything: an engrosssing tale set in the grim aftermath of WWII, some compelling erotic scenes speckled with pure, unadulterated sadism and some great insight of the human mind. Excellent. JJ (10/10)
