Mandy is a total masochist. the more pain, the better she likes it. but the challenge she sets herself, is not the wisest choice she ever made. |

Lots of stories in the genre of "Mandy" would have been tedious affairs with the narrative getting all over the place because of the added background info and the relative shortness of the manuscript. But Excalibur manages to keep everything coherent -although I personally would have put the self-describing paragraph at the very start, instead of where it sits now. But that's why I am me and Excalibur is the author of this piece. "Mandy" is also, besides being coherent, an intelligently written story. At least, Mandy comes across as being intelligent. Which wouldn't be the case if the story wasn't intelligently written. Anyway, I liked "Mandy" and the way it was written. JJ (9/10)
