Wow, excellent. I ding you one point for the fact that after 4.5 years of being immobilized her leg and arm muscles would've completely atrophied and she wouldn't have been able to get off the bed. Also, you didn't deal with the reality of human waste...gross, but probably necessary.
Oh, just an FYI in case you didn't know, the formatting is ALL screwed up. I'm sure you had nothing to do with that though.
Edit: 1-14-08 -- Woot! Nice second chapter...I gleefully await the third...especially now that you've thrown a young redhead in the mix. >:} (9/10)

- The formatting looks okay on my screen. Hmm... I'll look into what might be causing the problems.
Yes, human waste is always a problem, she also didn't eat or drink all that much, so the waste would be kept to a minimum.
As for the atrophy, it would probably be a problem, but wouldn't constant struggling against the bindings at least keep some muscle mass?

A great start to a story, with lots of potential. Nicely drawn characters, and I hope that this goes the full distance. An author to watch! (9/10)

Not bad, although it could use a few small bits of editing here and there, due to several small garbled sentences. The story gives an interesting base for growth; I'm anxious to see where you take it. (7/10)
