Outstanding story! I believe author has given us something original - in part because of the "kinder, gentler" slaver image, in part because of the dance competition, and in part because of the way various elements, perhaps familiar in themselves are combined to make a novel plot. I hope there will be more chapters - though sustaining this level of originality might be hard! (10/10)

A delightful effort, putting a freshened coat of paint on an old, old plot. And you did it nicely, bmtphoenix, using a fine command of the language and grammar. The next chapter should prove quite interesting, if there is one. Hoping there is! (9/10)

- Really? I had no idea this has been done before. It was all original in my head. Thanks for the great review, and I'm sure there will be more!

This was a great beginning. I only noticed one small grammatical error, using "then" for "than." The story line was well motivated and the key character traits well nicely done. I need to read more to see if the story is a 9 or 10. I am definitely looking forward to seeing more. (9/10)

- Thank you for the good review! I usually catch the grammatical stuff, but I guess that one slipped by me.

A nice story, a little on the tame side for some I'm sure and hardly breaking new ground. It is well written and easy to follow. The characters are believable even if the some of the details are a stretch. (Would professional slavers really care "that we make sure that every man, no matter how poor, has a chance to own a beautiful woman") yeah it's minor but really? overall a good effort though and I enjoyed it. (8/10)

- I felt that line kind of added to the "kinder, gentler" slaver image that I was going for. Thanks for the good review!
