Spoiler!! (Look elsewhere JonMaddux)
I'd rate it higher if you could tell me what type of fiend would abscond with Twelve Drummers Drumming, Eleven Pipers Piping, Ten Lords a-leaping, Nine Ladies Dancing, Eight Maids a-milking, Seven Swans a-swimming, Six Geese a-laying, Five Gold Rings, Four Collie Birds, Three French Hens, Two Turtle Doves and A Partridge in a Pear Tree. Answer that Sherlock and you'll have your ten.

Glad you enjoyed the story. Thanks for your review. Certainly my season was enjoyable for, while there were no fruit trees with poultry, I did at least have one trussed maiden. :-)

okay perhaps its my ADD kicking in but i got lost and even after a few readings couldnt tell what was going on? I appologize if it was my fault if the other readers had the same problem i would suggest reading other stories on the site and getting a better feel for how they are written. (5/10)

Jon, thanks for the review. Sorry that this one didn't work for you, but I appreciate the feed-back. I guess I was experimenting with a different approach to some of my other stories and it does depend on folk having read Sherlock Holmes or one of the other "great detectives" as it spoofs some of them. Maybe you'll find some of my other stories more to your taste.
I'd like to hear whether other readers found this a problem.
