I fear the author was hoping to add a certain grandeur to his story, by sprinkling his text with pompeous words, trying to impress the reader, thinking the addition of those words will make his prose Literature with a big 'L'.
Sadly, to me, it has the reverse effect, as those shameless attempts at being aknowledged as being a Writer (notice the capital W) fail miserably.
Still, the story was well-written and had a nice pace.

I enjoyed reading 'Determining'. It was extremely well written. The descriptions were elegant but yet arousing. I also loved the storyline. I am a hopeless romantic and I believe this story fits the bill. I look forward to more of your work in the future (10/10)
