A little background depth, even just a few paragraphs, would be easier to get into than a story which just jumps right into the action. This kind of start makes it more of a jerkoff piece than a story.
You do get into some of it towards the end. Perhaps further chapters can rectify the problem. (8/10)

Very enjoyable. I hope this is only part one of a number.
I would be interested to get some background (is the new government a dictatorship, one-party state..? And what options do the real elites have over the slaves..! (8/10)
