Nice, but slightly overdone intro to what could become a good story.
Slightly overdone in the sense that Jake Olive seems to try a tad too hard to come across as a 'good' writer, but lacking the techincal skill to do so. To counterbalance this observation, I must add that Jake seems to be carved out of the right wood and that those technical aspects will be mastered along the way.
Anyway, the opener to "Melissa's Shameless Act" has made me curious as to where this will lead...
